Can actonel cause joint degeneration. i am experiencing arthritis in my thumbs, both, and my knee.

have been on actonel for about four or five years, and it is helping my bone mass, but at what cost. normally i am very active, but of late, am experiencing symptoms that inhibit my lifestyle. are these related to this medication?
