Lyn, I'm sorry you're having such a struggle with Boniva. Rather than take Boniva, plus painkillers to counteract the Boniva side effects, and then something to counteract the side effects from the painkillers, perhaps you should ask your doctor about trying a different bisphosphanate (Fosomax, Actonel); or Reclast, which is a new drug, given by IV once a year, that supposedly has much more tolerable side effects. Does the doctor know what a difficult time you're having? Please advocate for yourself, and tell him/her the treatment is debilitating and you need to consider alternatives. Good luck to you -PJH
