I do not have osteoporosis, but was diagnosed as vitamin D deficient.  I have taken the same dosage for the last 10 weeks, and at the outset, my bones were very sore.  Just this morning, I had a blood draw to re-check my vitamin D levels, and the tech who took my blood is also vitamin D deficient, taking 50,000 units per week.  I asked her about the bone pain, and she said when she first began taking the supplement, he bones hurt terribly.
