My dentist was also very nervous about pulling a tooth of mine even though I was on Forteo for 25 months.  I finally convinced him to pull it.  It's that both drugs start with an F.  My dentist treated a patient who had been treated with bisphosphonates for cancer who developed necrosis of the jaw a few years ago and he was horrified. He pulled my tooth about 3 weeks ago and I just had to swear that I wouldn't start taking Fozamax until it's completely healed, March 31, when I get fitted for my new bridge.  So far so good.
