Hi Lulcky:  Worsening eye sight and floaters is something that needs to be addressed by an opthamologist-ASAP.  I don't want to alarm you, but you really need to see your eye Dr.  I've had floaters for years, and some are innocuous and some aren't, but worsening eye sight is nothing to ignore.  There are many things that could cause this, that are usually from some eye problem, and I don't know if Boniva could cause this, but regardless of the cause, have it evaluated soon.  I can't tell you to stop any medication, because it's impossible for me or anyone who isn't a Dr to know if this is medication related.

Here is an alert from the FDA on joint/bone pain seen in *some* individuals taking bisphosphonates (Boniva, Actonel, Fosamax, Reclast et al).  Ask your eye Dr and PCP about the possibility of eye problems with this med.  If you have the package insert for Boniva handy, look for any mention of eye problems-and what type they mention.  I took Actonel, and read the insert, but it doesn't say anything about floaters, it does mention *dry eye*, and *conjunctivitis*, but that is for Actonel and Boniva may be slightly different.  Our eye sight is one of our most precious gifts so please take care of it.

Good luck to you I hope you find out what is going on.
