Hi Ma-Laudette, welcome and thanks for your question.  We are having a community members discussion on Forteo here.  Please join us so you can speak to others taking it and ask question that are of concern to you.   See the Cleveland Clinic pdf on Forteo, posted within the discussion, and it lists the side effects of Forteo.  I took Forteo and did really well going from severe osteo to normal bone density in the spine and osteopenia in my hip, in the first year and additonal success in the second year.   The FDA has only approve this drug for 2 years of use, so when you finish you need to follow with another osteo med to maintain any gains you rec'd from your treatment.   If you have any other questions about Forteo I'd be happy to answer them as well as those taking it.  I've posted several links to the Forteo discussion site that should answer all of your questions.   We hope you can join us, to talk to me and others taking it, considering it and those who've finished it.   Hope to see you there!!!  No questions are off limits, so don't hesitate to join us and ask whatever you choose.
