Hi Wilma, I have looked around and can't find anything that indicates that hearing loss is a side effect of Actonel. For more information you might try the Actonel web site: http://www.actonel.com/  or this link on the site:  ACTONEL Patient Information.

You should always report anything you experience to your doctor who might have information on side effects for Actonel (or any drug). Make sure the doctor knows all the other medications you may be taking in case there could be an interaction. I have also found my pharmacist is especially knowledgeable about drugs, side effects and interactions.

There is also more information on this site about Actonel: http://www.healthcentral.com/osteoporosis/find-drug-12-150.html

I hope you can find out why you are experiencing hearing loss and can find treatment for it.

Take care, Larry
