Q: when it comes to battling Osteopenia what are the right kinds of exercise

Hi Monica, welcome... With bone loss, whether osteopenia or osteoporosis, you should do weight bearing exercises.  Here's an article on weight bearing exercise that you can look at.  The best thing is to find something you like to do, that is weight bearing, and try to stick with that.  If you need to vary the routine, pick several exercises.
