Q: I have very bad hip pain when I drive for long periods of time. Why?

when I drive my car for a long time my right hip locks up and starts hurting real bad and it very difficult for me to walk when I get out of the car. can you tell me why?

Hi WaylanR, welcome and thanks for your question.  Do you have osteoporosis?  This is an osteoporosis community, so you might like to ask your question at our ChronicPain site.

 

If you have a primary care Dr. or orthopedic I would make an appointment to find out what's causing this pain.  If you don't have insurance, you could go to an emergency room since it's so painful.  They'll do some tests that will help to diagnose this for you.
