hi i have just been diagnosed with osteopinia today after a bone density scan 2 weeks ago. now then, about 15yrs ago i had my first density scan was told i had osteoporosis and osteoarthritis especially in my spine, the back specialist at the time told me i had the bones of a 70yr old woman. i was then 44yr old. so wish someone could explain this to me, especialy as my gp today has said that this osteopinia is inbetween goog healthy bone and osteoporosis bone it has got small holes appearing in the bone. well as you can imagine i am very confused at the moment. but if this helps to explain what it actually is tthen i am glad. please excuse any  mistakes as i have a badly broken right arm and shoulder, so am having to use my left hand only.  tine x i was also told there was no medication just to take calcium and vitamin d if i wanted to.!!!
