Q: patient is 84 should she take boniva she already has pain in extermities, on tricor, and heart meds

my 84 yr old mother has a history of  osteostonisis, is on heart meds and cholestrol.

She has pain in legs. Is boniva a good idea for her to take.

Hello Nancy,

 

This is a question that's best to ask of your mother's doctor. Because of her age and existing medical conditions, her doctor will need to take all of this and her current overall health into consideration before prescribing Boniva.
