Q: is soy products{milk} or soy supplements harmful if you had breast cancer

I am a breast cancer survivor{ 6 months off of tamoxifen}

Thanks for your question. You should always check with your doctor if you have questions about foods that may be harmful because of a medical condition. Much of the research done on this specific question is dated and mixed. According to the American Institute for Cancer Research, women taking tamoxifen are advised to avoid soy until their treatment is done. There is no specific mention of women who have completed treatment.
