Hi Marge,
Thank you for your question. Actonel's product information does not list increased blood pressure as a known side effect. If your blood pressure increases after taking the Actonel, you should discuss this effect with your doctor. Similarly, if you develop bursitis after taking Actonel, you should discuss with your doctor whether to continue the medication. If you would like to read more about Actonel, you can do so here.
Best of luck,
Casey
Hello Marge,
I have not taken actonel but have been injecting Forteo for 9 months and scheduled to resume taking it as soon as I like.. I have been suffering from Bursitis in 4 bursas since June. I have been injected with steroids and one bursa remains very painful. I decided to not resume taking the drug until I am am feeling well again. This seems very frustrating and doctors say there is no link to the medication but I am not so sure I agree. I have low blood pressure and that remains stable. I have lost about 10 pounds and not complaining because I am at my ideal weight. However, I wonder if forteo medication is causing side effects. Could you tell me a bit more about your bursitis? In the mean time I will look at actonel and the posted side effects.
It would be nice to keep in touch.
In kind,
Karen
