Hi Roseleen, welcome!  Sorry to hear about your families medical history.  Since Evista's main side effect is blood clots, and you've had one already, I'm suprised your doctor hasn't discussed this issue with you.  Even though you are in good health, you have a family history of clots, plus you've had one yourself.

I would talk to your Dr. asap and remind him/her that Evista can cause this and ask what you should do.  I'm glad you exercise and are in good health, but if clotting is a problem for you Evista is not recommended.  Be sure if you are still taking this medication that you stop it before airline travel or if you have any prolonged bed rest instructions or surgery.

Let us know what your Dr. says, but I would be hesitant about taking this with a history like yours.

Your Dr. may have a very good solution and that's just one reason to have this conversation right away.  Good luck to you and let us know how you do.
