Hi Mickey, sorry to hear you have had such a hard time for the past couple of years. This link will provide you with info about the available drugs used to treat osteo. It doesn't say much about forteo, but does talk about reclast. Have you talked to your dr. about other options or what he thingks is the best next step?

There is another option that is a natural supplement that has shown in test to improve both density and reduction of fractures. The supplement is called strontium citrate and can be ordered online

The article gives a very informative look at strontium, but here in the States we take 680 mg. a day in capsule form, not a powder mixed with water. Thanks for your respose. No...I have not heard of strontium citrate. Initially, my primary care suggested Forteo but also said I could consider Reclast. I'm weighing all options!
