Hi annabelle, welcome and thanks for your question.  Here's a link from Novartis, the manufacturer or Aclasta/Reclast/Zometa.  All of these drugs are the same drug called Zolendronic Acid.  In BC it's marketed as Aclasta and in the US it's called Reclast.  Put your zip code into the space provided at Novartis under "find a infusion center near you," and it should give you the closest place to your residence.

If you'd like to read more about the drug, here's a Sharepost I wrote about it with lots of information for you on side effects, clinical trial results, and precautions for those who might not be able to take it.

Good luck finding out where the nearest infusion center is.  If you have another question about this just post again.  You can also contact the manufacturer (Novartis) if you have further questions.  Here's an interview with Dr. Kathryn Diemer on the use of biannual Reclast for those with osteopenia, if you like to read that as well.

Hi again annabelle, I just realized that the infusion center finder only lists centers in the US.  Here's the link to contact the manufacturer.  Ask them if the drug is available in your area, and what the drug name is in BC.  If you call the 800 number they should be able to tell you how to get it where you live.  I would also check to see if your insurance covers this and if not how much it might cost.  If they can't help, ask for the manufacturers number in BC.

Good luck...

If you don't mind driving to Vancouver, get a referral to Dr. David Kendler a renowned specialist in osteoporosis.  Last week I saw him for the first time and he immediately proposed Aclasta (after the necessary blood work).

I also live in Langley, but we usually need to travel to see the good guys.
