Hi shaggy T, welcome...  Does the score have a (-) or (+) sign next to it?

Here's the World Health Orgs (WHO) definition on t-scores:

Normal bone:  Any score above -1

Osteopenia:  Any score between -1 and -2.5

Osteoporosis:  Any score below -2.5

If it says -1.3 then you are .3 away from normal into osteopenia.

If it says +1.3 or just 1.3 then it means you have normal bone density.Smile  Either way it's a very good score.

Good luck and check the bottom of your DXA print out, it will give the same numbers that are above next to the explanation of t-scores from the WHO.

Thanks for the help! What about this... my spine is "T-score of 1.7" and the impression is "the lumbar spine demonstrates changes of osteopenia. There is increased risk for fracture. There has been a 2% decrease in bone density since 2008"?
