Hi Renee, welcome... This is hard to answer since anyone of these drugs could have the same effect. Generally, drugs like Reclast, Boniva, Fosamax and Actonel can cause severe muscle and joint pain. I'm not aware that Forteo does this, so I would think Forteo would be the medication that would be the least likely to cause this. With this said, we all react differently to these meds and even though Forteo can cause some pain, it's usually less severe than the others. Also, Forteo is used to decrease pain in some situations so your reaction is a bit different but that's normal.
I would discuss this with your Dr. and see what he/she says. If you do decide to take one of the other meds I would ask about the lowest, least frequent dose, so you can see how you will react. Keep in mind that the bisphosphonates have a longer half-life and Forteo's half-life is less than an hour before it's out of your system. So get some advice on this so you don't suffer needlessly with a drug that's in your system for days/months.
Good luck.
