Thie situation is of even more concern regarding a drug like synthetic parathyroid hormone, which needs to be kept refrigerated constantly. One can't help but wonder, if the pen is that old, was this requirement indeed met during all that time? Especially if it was in the care of someone who didn't even notice if it was expired? I hope your efforts to contact Eli Lilly have been successful this week and that they have replaced your pen with a non-expired one.
