Hi Lee, welcome and thanks for your question.  Calcitonin-Salmon is the generic for Miacalcin.  Here's a link on it from the Mayo clinic you can read to comfirm.   Sorry you are having trouble with the generic version.  Will your insurance let you get the brand name instead?  If so that could solve the problem.  You may be allergic to one of the inactive ingredients in the generic, so check with your pharmacist and Dr. to see what they are.  Explain the situation to your Dr. and see if you can go back to the brand name.   Good luck with this, If you have any other questions just post again.
