I have been on Boniva for 2 yrs,now on Fosomax.I have one kidney,would you recommend I take Forteo?

Hi Juanita:  Have your t-scores improved while on Boniva or Fosamax?  I would ask your dr if he thinks you should try forteo.  Usually forteo is used as a last resort when your t-scores are below -2.5 or lower, so I don't know if thats the case.  Since you only have one kidney you should discuss this with your dr as well.  When considering forteo, also check to see if your insurance pays for it, because it is very expensive.
