Q: Can anyone tell me what level/type of exercise is considered safe after an osteoporsis diagnosis
I recently had a bone scan as part of a physical and my T scores ranges from -2.9 to -3.6 in my spine. I am 53 and in excellent health otherwise. I am extremely active - ardent skiier, mtn biker, hiker, yoga etc.. I have very little info at this point about the severity of these numbers (a specialist referral is a few weeks away) . In the meantime should I stop some or all of these activities? We are leaving for a bike/hike tour in europe in a couple weeks - would this be considered foolish or dangerous? Also, I read certain yoga postures and core exercises could be dangerous - think I should quit yoga?
Thanks!
