Reclast for the treatment of osteoporosis should be covered by Medicare since it was FDA approved for this use last year. However, sometimes the Medicare system doesn't catch up to these changes as quickly as one might hope -- and it often varies by region. Talk to your doctor to see if he or she has had success in obtaining coverage for the infusion to have an idea of whether you'll have a problem. It may require some paperwork, but if you qualify medically, you should ultimately be successful in obtaining coverage.
