Ostepenia drug mix - fosteum, GNC ultra Megao Bone Density and GNC Liquid Multi Colloidal Minerals

I am 43 and have osteopenia -1.3.  My doctor gave me actonel which made me dreadfully ill.  He probably should not have prescribed it for a 43 year old not going through menopause.  Since then I have been taking GNC's Women's Ultra Mega Bone Density along with GNC Liquid Multi Colloidal Minerals.  My gyno now suggested Fosteum.  How would all three of these mix?  Should I expect any of the same side affects I had from Actonel?  Thank you

Hi Want2stayhealthy, welcome and thanks for your question.  According to the information on Fosteum, you should take Calcium with it.  I would ask your pharmacist about the other supplements just in case there is something in one of those products that shouldn't be taken with Fosteum.

Here's a list of the side effects for Fosteum.  I've never taken Fosteum but I wouldn't think that you'd have the same side effects like those from Actonel since it's a totally different medication.  Fosteum is approved for those who are pre-menopausal so hopefully this will help you to increase you bmd.

Good luck with this and I hope you do well!
