Forteo to treat broken bones after partial humerus replacement due to AVN

My 49 year old husband has COPD and treatment for this is Prednisone. This steriod use caused Avascular Necrosis. This led to a partial humerus replacement and during the op, a spiral fracture of the humerus. Conflict of doctor opinions Forteo vs calcium medications

My mom was diagnosed with severe osteoporosis 7 months back. She is 67 years old and is in India. The doctor (Doctor 1) advised her to take forteo. understanding osteoporosis treatment options
