Data presented at a recent conference suggests that the new osteoporosis med Protelos is effective at treating the bone-loss condition. Researchers say that women who took Protelos in the long-term study reduced their non-spinal fracture risk by 15 percent and their hip fracture risk by 43 percent. The study participants who took the med also reported better quality of life.
