Vitamin D Deficiency Diagnosed

Breast cancer patients who have a vitamin D deficiency when they
are diagnosed are more likely to suffer a cancer recurrence or die
from the disease, a new study has found. The study followed 512
newly-diagnosed patients for twelve years. Women whose vitamin D
levels were in the "deficient" range (lowest level) were twice as
likely to see a breast cancer recurrence as women whose level was
in the "optimal" (highest level) range. And the risk of dying of
