Study: Reclast lowers fracture risk, saves lives

Researchers say Reclast, the new once-a-year injection for osteoporosis, not only reduces the number of hip fractures, it can also save older users' lives. Statistics show that 36 percent of hip-fracture patients will die within two years of the incident, and they are also five to 10 times more likely to suffer another hip fracture. But a new study suggests that by reducing hip-fracture risks, Reclast may help prevent these deaths. Read more »
