Osteoporosis med Reclast approved for men in Europe

According to a press release from drugmaker Novartis, the European Union has approved the one-a-year osteoporosis drug Reclast for use in men who are at high risk for fracture. Reclast, which is sold as Aclasta in Europe, also received a new label that includes information about the drug's ability to reduce new fractures in both men and postmenopausal women who have osteoporosis and have recently suffered a hip fracture.  Read full story >
