Beer drinking may help boost bones

Spanish researchers say that women who drink beer may be boosting their bone health. In a study of 1,700 women, scientists found that bone density was better in women who regularly drank beer than in women who did not. But experts caution against drinking more in an effort to prevent osteoporosis--they say it may be the phytoestrogen plant hormones in the drink that is responsible for its protective effect.
