Yoga may help strengthen bones

A new study suggests that a short, daily yoga routine may help build bone mineral density. Researchers say that the results were significant, and that over the course of the two-year study there were no major injuries. Participants in the study had been diagnosed with osteoporosis or osteopenia, and they practiced 10-12 minutes of yoga daily for two years. At the study's end, bone scans showed significant improvement in bone mineral density.
