Vitamin D Linked to Bone Fractures

Studies in Scotland suggest that 98 percent of people who've had a hip fracture suffer from a serious vitamin D deficiency. The study's authors say that foods fortified with vitamin D in the United States and other countries may be helping alleviate the vitamin deficiency in seniors, but they point out that vitamin may play more of a role in bone loss than previously thought.
