FDA: No Concrete Evidence Bisphosphonates Linked to Fractures

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) says there is no concrete link between the use of osteoporosis bisphosphonate drugs and certain thigh bone fractures. Their statement comes after the publication of two case reports that suggest the drugs may contribute to fractures below the hip joint. The FDA said that though the data did not suggest a concrete connection, they are working with experts to obtain more information into the issue.
