Doctors Say "Boomeritis" Plagues Older Generation

Doctors say they're seeing a number of stress fractures, tendon tears, and other injuries in older Americans who exercise. This trend--which they call "boomeritis"--comes because Baby Boomers are more active than people were in their parents' generation. Experts say that in order to avoid fractures and tears, exercisers should be sure to warm up appropriately, and may want to avoid high-impact exercise, particularly if they have any signs of bone loss.  Read full story >
