I am a 38 year old, recently divorced mom of 4 beautiful, adopted children. I am a school principal and so I have 500 more "adopted" children. :-) I feel greatly blessed in my life, because I am able to make a difference in the lives of many. However, my illness generally stops me from making a difference in the life of myself. I am very often hypomanic, and for extended periods of time, which enables me to accomplish many, many things. Until I eventually crash, burn out, or just "manic myself out" and can't take it any more. So often, I am just tired of life. Everything is such an effort. I am a high-energy, optimistic person by nature, thank God, so thus far I have been able to (for the most part) take the high road.PHOTOS:
