Bill is the editor of a fabulous new diabetes website, D-is-for-Diabetes. He has been a specialist in diabetes care and endocrinology for over 30 years. He is a nationally-known expert in diabetes education, and is a past president of the American Association of Diabetes Educators. He is a Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology, and also a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, and is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Endocrinology and Diabetes Care.
He describes his hobbies as throwing frisbees for his dogs, and writing about diabetes. And on weekends, he and Steph will frequently be found on their sailboat, daysailing in Charleston's harbor.
In 2005, he developed diabetes, and immediately started on a basal/bolus insulin program. He switched to an insulin pump in June, 2008. He has been using CGM since 2010.
