I am chairman of Barrett's Wessex (www.barrettswessex.org.uk), a regional support group of UK national charity, Barrett's Oesophagus Campaign (of which I am also a trustee), with a large and growing membership mainly in South and South West England.

I also act as a modertor for the Barrett's Campaign on-line forum www.barrettscampaign.org.uk/forum 

The support group was inaugurated in 2009 to raise awareness and provide support for those with Barrett's Oesophagus and related digestive problems of heartburn and acid reflux.

In May 2011, we presented a HALO radio frequency generator to Southampton General Hospital that is saving lives by preventing dysplastic Barrett's becoming cancerous.
