i had a classmate (and now colleague) who stated he wanted to work in mental health and then quoted dr thomas szasz.
in my mind, at least, he was immediately discredited. dr thomas szasz is the one who was quoted so well by tom cruise when tom cruise "got into it" with matt lauer on the today show.

so here's the thing: i'm living incognito. i'm an msw therapist at a community behavioral health center who is very bipolar (although in full remission pretty much (!!)), and who has not disclosed this to anyone at work.
