ABOUT ME:

I was raised by an Air Force Servicman. That said I had a normal (?) childhood except any illness was always "In our heads". I have learned since I started living on my own that Depression is real and sometimes dangerous. I am not formally trained in the caregiving arena when it comes to Depression or it's effects on people afflicted by it. I am a "consumer" with seasonal depression that hits me in early spring and lasts until about July. I have been on ony two drugs for this, Wellbutrin XR and Cymbalta. Cymbalta has had the best results for me. I am involved with the local chapter of NAMI and have learned so much from them.
