ABOUT ME:

My name is Ami and I am 31 years old. I live in Jackson Heights, NY and I work as an Administrative Assistant for a PR/Marketing and Advertising firm in Manhattan, NY. I have a wonderful boyfriend of four and a half years and a beautiful hairless cat named Smooth. I am also an online student at Grand Canyon Univeristy as a psychology major. I've been living with migraines since I was a teeanger. My father suffers from them so I figure I inherited it from him. My migraines are awfu (as is anyone elses) and I have a hard time functioning when I have them. They happen behind my left eye all the time and then take over my entire head and neck. Its pretty bad. I get sick and can't hold anything down. My face looks like I've been punched and lights (especially flaurecent) hurt me like hell. I have been to neurologists that have not helped me at all. imitrex never helped my situation. Actually, I was sick on it when I took them back in the day. I don't like not knowing how to control my migraines and I don't want to have them anymore. As of late they have become more and more frequent and severe and have affected my vision when I do have them. I am very weak when I get them now and it is hard for me to get through a day at work when a migraine hits me. My migraines last for two days sometimes. Its pretty bad. I'm hoping that on here I can get some good advice...
