ABOUT ME:

I'm a former ultrasound technologist-turned-freelance health writer. For the past twelve years I have been successfully living with multiple sclerosis and I'm an active patient advocate as well as a volunteer. During my ultrasound career I focused on OB/GYN scanning (both female and male systems) and I gained a great deal of knowledge which has helped me in my current writing career. I have published articles in New Mobility and South Jersey Mom magazines' health sections and I now have two active websites about MS: www.msstrength.com and www.howifightms.com. One of my recent challenges was seeing my father through a bout of prostate cancer and I continually deal with bladder and bowel urgency and incontinence as a result of my MS. My latest challenge is obtaining my Master's of Social Work (MSW) degree so that I can better help patients-- both with MS and other health issues--- have the most productive and positive lives. Life is an ever-changing journey and I'm in it for the long haul (I hope you are too! : )
