another diagnosis?

Hi all- I know it's been a while. A couple weeks ago, I decided to go to a holistic MD because I was convinced that I had adrenal fatigue. She sent me for blood tests to test for about 20 different antibodies and such-- mold allergy, gluten allergy, Lyme, mono, Cortisol levels, etc etc. I was so needing a REASON for these headaches, frequent infections, and fatigue that I said a prayer before I did the blood draw.... and boy...

I know the who, what, and where... but now maybe also know the why!???

So I hate to jinx this, but tonight I was randomly surfing the net on migraines and low blood pressure, because based on conversations with a coworker and various readings, I am convinced that these are connected somehow. And I came across a couple things...

One was called neurally mediated hypotension, which mentioned a few of my symptoms, but also included symptoms I don't have, so I doubt that is the cause of my migraines......

silver lining (continued)

I just realized that my last post didn't fully "post"... guess it was too long? Anyway, here is the rest of it.

...One of the biggest life changes I've made this year involves taking care of my body AND mind, and I believe it may be the single best decision I've ever made. Yoga. I have the most amazing teacher who also happens to be a physical therapist that specializes in neck pain, so that is quite helpful for the headaches. I am so...

Reflection and a silver lining

So it's been a while since I've written. And somehow, I think writing now, about a year after I discovered that I wasn't just experiencing "headaches"-- a year after I was actually diagnosed with migraines (more formally known to migrainers as "migraine disease", believe it or not)-- now is the most appropriate time to sit back and reflect. January was a rough month. To make a long story short, there had been a lot of ups and downs up to that...

i miss me help

I miss being me. All I feel is sadness and dread that this will be the rest of my life. Who can handle kids when life itself is this painful? Migraine = Knife stabbing pain surrounded by feelings of sadness and constant tears. The doctor says crying will just make it worse, but I'm too sad to stop. No one understands it. They think it's just a headache. They think just because I'm up, working, and walking around most days that I'm fine. ...
