It is titled "Detour:My bipolar road trip in 4D" written by Lizzie Simon. She tells her story and she goes on a road trip to find other young sucessful people with Bipolar disorder and interviews them. The book is very insightful and it gave me a better understanding of things. She was in a state hospital, but never got diagnosed. They released her and gave her one month suppy of meds. Since she has no health insurance, or money, she can not get more meds. She applied for a state program that helps with medical assistance but got denied b/c she is 20 and considered under her mother's income until she is 21. She ended up in a hospital because she got beat up by an ex b/f and the first hospital she was at wanted to do a psych. eval on her also. After the eval, she got transferred to a state hospital.
