I am a wife and mother i have 3 children at home all teenagers, two grown with families of there own, I have 4 step children we see only a few times a year. I also have 6 grand children that i dont see enough.I have a wonderful, supportive husband whom without i know i would never have made it thru this. My cancer has been a suprise as i am sure no one is expecting it. However cancer is something I always said i could never get. I had NO family history and was completely blind to any possibility of getting it. When I was told I had cancer it opened my eyes to many things mostly to my own mortality and showed me how precious my life and the people in it are. It also made me face my inner demons. I was able to give cancer a purpose which has helped me deal with it, at the same time along with other things I was avoiding.I still struggle at times but everyday is a new day.
