ABOUT ME:

Jun 25, 2008 - Mother & grandmother diabetic. But I am in my 30s and didn't think I had anything to worry about. Did a 2 hr glucose tolerance test and had a fasting blood sugar of 521. After 2 hours it went down to 286. Bad, bad, bad... Right now I am about 10lbs overweight, carrying almost all of that on my stomach. Honestly, I've been crying all day. But my friends have been very supportive and when I see a doctor on Friday, I hope to have an arsenal for fighting this. Jun 27, 2008 - Visited a doctor who put me on a regimen of proper nutrition, exercise and Januvia. He did say that I am not overweight though but within the band for my height of 99lbs - 136lbs.
