I am 38, about to be 39 and have a fabulous husband. He is so wonderful to me when I am down and out with migraines (which is a lot). He does get short-tempered sometimes, but that is understandable. I am currently unemployed due to an increase in my migraines, but hopefully not for long. I have a great 21 year old daughter, and a fabulous 3 year old granddaughter that has been such a blessing in my life. They are an Army family, but get out in a week and will be moving back to GA!! I can't wait - so I really need a better treatment so I can spend more time with my sweet Layla :-)
I come from a very close and loving family. I am really close to my parents, thank goodness. And fairly close to my siblings, when they don't drive me crazy - ha ha!
I have had migraines since about age 14, but they did not get "regular" until I was about 25. Since then I have been to several doctors, tried lots of medications, and alternative therapies. I have had some periods where they were not so bad. Right now I am trying to be hopeful. I have had chronic daily headaches/transformed migraine since mid 2007. I have tried over 60 preventatives and really do not know what my next move is? I would love to have the neuro-stim implant, but can't work and have no insurance and have been unable to find a study in my area. I have been trying to get SSDI for over 4 years and have been repeatedly denied, but am waiting on the Appeals council to make a decision on if I deserve a new hearing. I really do, the judge at the first hearing had a lot of dates and facts wrong in his decision. So wish me luck. I really wish they could find a cure for migraines for us all!!
