Another Life Foundation (AlifeF) is the only non-profit national mental health organization founded by a consumer living with suicidal behaviors. Another Life Foundation focuses on helping individuals battling with suicidal behaviors. Stephanie Green is the founder and Executive Director. Mrs. Green has battled with Depression since the age of 14. Without the support from family members and the community, she was still able to come out of the dark tunnel of Depression. Another Life Foundation unique volunteer mentoring program was started to address the problem of no community and family support systems. The goal of the volunteer mentor program is to reduce re-hospitalization and emergency services for suicidal behaviors. The program focuses on helping the non-clinical, unnoticed individuals with jobs, mortgages, and families. The volunteers can be persons in recovery from a mental illness or persons who just want to help others. They volunteer their time to offer hope, personal experience, and friendship to reduce re-hospitalization. Another Life Foundation mentoring Chapters are all around the country and are continuing to grow and have a positive impact to the community.
