A veteran health journalist, I spent six years as editor of The Washington Post health section and have done work for several Web sites devoted to personal health. I've spoken and taught at the National Institutes of Health "Medicine in the Media" program, which teaches journalists to interpret medical studies accurately. Explaining the meaning of the latest medical studies to the public is my greatest interest as a health journalist.
When not at the keyboard, I'm either at the gym (doing my best to walk the walk) or spending time with my wife Pam, a clinical psychologist, and two teenage boys.
