The Escense of the soul.

Hello
I was sitting (wow I was sitting) and wondering about this illness and what we give up to stay "normal". I no longer write poems, or paint till the wee hours.I get up in the morning and the idea's are just bouncing around in my head and they seem like good, and even obtainable goals. Then I eat my breaky and take my pills, and in an hour or so I don't have the motivation to get off the chair.
The idea's and plans seem so far away and...

It helps to read when I can't sleep and that is often these days...I am so tired!!My mind is dancing to it's own beat these days and I am not keeping up to well. I am afraid I am manic again.I have a Dr's appt next week, but when I tell him I can't sleep he say's " Of course not...you have bi-polar" So I think I won't tell him the voices have returned or that now I am seeing...

Many Secrets

Fellow Members,
I have been doing some lurking in the posts and forums and I have noticed many similarities with people with the illness. I have to say though the sadest one is that we seem to have to hide a part of ourselves away. That we live wearing many faces, and most of them not honest ones, but rather what we think will be normal to everyone else.. Many of us write how we hide much of who we are. It's being said in many ways...

Enter the Boyfriend

I have noticed and maybe it is my way of looking at things..but every time I meet a man It seems I notice bi-polar symptoms in his personality. This one has a mental heath hot line sticker on the fridge, but swears he has no problems.Do we somehow attract that personality into our lives, maybe because it's like going home, and feels familiar I am just coming to my one year diagnosis, and have been stable, taking my meds although I read...

HELP I think my daugther has it !!!

I hope someone can help me. I was diagnosed 4 months ago with bi-polar after several years of bizarre behavior, rages, and ruined relationships. I live in the lower apartment, and my daughter lives upstairs with my grandson age 2, and my grand-daughter age16. First of all my treatment is going well, until recently when as I got better every day I noticed the same behaviours with her.New Years day she flew into a rage (holidays are hard) and I...
