I've had fever blisters on my "eyeball" numerous times since 1979 (they're called cornea ulcers), I always get them on the same eye (my right one). For 9 months, I've been taking 2,000 mg sulfasalazine daily, 1,000 mg naproxyn daily, added 7.5 mg methotrexate weekly a month ago, and recently increased methotrexate to 12.5 mg weekly. I was diagnosed in June 08, referred to a rheumatologist (had positive RA Factor and positive Anti CCP), started medication (sulfasalazine 2,000 mg/day, naproxyn 1,000 mg/day, and added methotrexate about a month ago.
